Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, the Black or African American Alone population in Indiana was 605,297 and represented 9.33% of the total Indiana population (6,490,555).

Among Indiana counties, Marion County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (246,625), followed by Lake County (130,335), and Allen County (42,649). Warren County had the lowest (12).
