Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, the Black or African American Alone population in Texas was 3,453,613 and represented 12.57% of the total Texas population (27,468,531).
Among Texas counties, Harris County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (898,170), followed by Dallas County (597,644), and Tarrant County (329,102). Loving County had the lowest (0).
