Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the Black or African American Alone population in Wisconsin was 374,256 and represented 6.54% of the total Wisconsin population (5,720,825).

Among Wisconsin counties, Milwaukee County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (260,922), followed by Dane County (27,222), and Racine County (22,533). Iron County had the lowest (7).
