According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 18,655 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in New Hampshire, which was 1.35% of the total New Hampshire population.

Hillsborough County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (10,044), followed by Merrimack County (2,536), and Rockingham County (2,076). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone were: Carroll County (131), Sullivan County (185), and Belknap County (324).
