According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 1,457,180 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Ohio, which was 12.35% of the total Ohio population.

Cuyahoga County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (365,169), followed by Franklin County (296,076), and Hamilton County (207,764). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone were: Monroe County (19), Vinton County (43), and Wyandot County (77).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identify as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Cuyahoga County had the highest percentage (28.87%), followed by Hamilton County (25.01%), and Franklin County (22.37%).
