According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 264,047 people (of all racial backgrounds) who identified as hispanic or latino in Alabama, which was 5.26% of the total population of Alabama.

Jefferson County had the highest number of of people who identified as hispanic or latino (34,856), followed by Madison County (24,936), and Shelby County (16,460). On the other hand, the three counties with low number of people who identified as hispanic or latino were: Greene County (61), Perry County (89), and Wilcox County (112).
