According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 26,609 people (of all racial backgrounds) who identified as hispanic or latino in Maine, which was 1.95% of the total population of Maine.

Cumberland County had the highest number of of people who identified as hispanic or latino (8,011), followed by York County (4,097), and Penobscot County (2,715). On the other hand, the three counties with low number of people who identified as hispanic or latino were: Piscataquis County (261), Lincoln County (395), and Franklin County (407).
