According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 1,118,596 people (of all racial backgrounds) who identified as hispanic or latino in North Carolina, which was 10.72% of the total population of North Carolina.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of of people who identified as hispanic or latino (169,922), followed by Wake County (128,241), and Forsyth County (54,688). On the other hand, the three counties with low number of people who identified as hispanic or latino were: Gates County (201), Graham County (219), and Tyrrell County (272).
