According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Illinois population of 12,812,508 people, 61.41% (7,868,227) identified their race as White Alone, 14.11% (1,808,271) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 8.94% (1,144,984) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
