According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among South Dakota population of 886,667 people, 80.68% (715,336) identified their race as White Alone, 8.77% (77,748) identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, and 5.26% (46,665) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
