According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 13,898 people in Wyoming who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 2.41% of the total population of Wyoming. Fremont County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (8,190), followed by Laramie County (1,123), and Natrona County (1,053). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Niobrara County (30), Sublette County (50), and Hot Springs County (51).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Fremont County had the highest percentage, with 20.88% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Weston County (1.42%), and Big Horn County (1.34%).
