Kentucky Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 362,417 people in Kentucky who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 8.04% of the total population of Kentucky. Jefferson County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (168,910), followed by Fayette County (48,076), and Christian County (15,527). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Robertson County (6), Jackson County (12), and Owsley County (14).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Fulton County had the highest percentage, with 22.16% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Jefferson County (21.57%), and Christian County (21.34%).
