Oregon Black or African American Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 82,655 people in Oregon who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 1.95% of the total population of Oregon. Multnomah County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (45,370), followed by Washington County (13,437), and Lane County (4,660). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Sherman County (0), Wheeler County (1), and Gilliam County (4).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Multnomah County had the highest percentage, with 5.56% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Washington County (2.24%), and Malheur County (1.47%).
