According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 376,256 people in Wisconsin who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 6.38% of the total population of Wisconsin. Milwaukee County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (245,863), followed by Dane County (30,473), and Racine County (23,303). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Menominee County (2), Florence County (9), and Iron County (16).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Milwaukee County had the highest percentage, with 26.17% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Racine County (11.79%), and Kenosha County (7.14%).
