According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 5,232 people in Wyoming who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 0.91% of the total population of Wyoming. Laramie County had the highest number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone (2,472), followed by Natrona County (791), and Albany County (432). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as Black or African American Alone were: Crook County (0), Niobrara County (6), and Washakie County (12).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Laramie County had the highest percentage, with 2.46% of its population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Albany County (1.17%), and Natrona County (0.99%).
