Alaska White Alone Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 435,392 people in Alaska who identified their race as White Alone, which is 59.37% of the total population of Alaska. Anchorage Municipality had the highest number of people who identify as White Alone (164,446), followed by Matanuska-Susitna Borough (83,035), and Fairbanks North Star Borough (65,971). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as White Alone were: Kusilvak Census Area (173), Yakutat City and Borough (249), and Lake and Peninsula Borough (303).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Skagway Municipality had the highest percentage, with 86.29% of its population identifying their race as White Alone, followed by Denali Borough (85.36%), and Kenai Peninsula Borough (78.88%).
