According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the total Voting-age population (18 years and over) of California was 30,827,105, which was 77.97% of the total California population.

Los Angeles County had the highest voting-age population (7,959,791), followed by San Diego County (2,608,768), and then Orange County (2,519,658). On the other hand, the 3 counties with low voting-age population were: Alpine County (1,009), Sierra County (2,698), and Modoc County (6,905).
