According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the total Voting-age population (18 years and over) of New Mexico was 1,638,989, which was 77.40% of the total New Mexico population.

Bernalillo County had the highest voting-age population (533,771), followed by Doña Ana County (167,142), and then Santa Fe County (127,850). On the other hand, the 3 counties with low voting-age population were: Harding County (561), De Baca County (1,360), and Catron County (3,216).
