According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the total Voting-age population (18 years and over) of North Carolina was 8,155,099, which was 78.12% of the total North Carolina population.

Wake County had the highest voting-age population (860,079), followed by Mecklenburg County (860,025), and then Guilford County (423,763). On the other hand, the 3 counties with low voting-age population were: Tyrrell County (2,574), Hyde County (3,785), and Graham County (6,370).
