According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Richmond City, VA population of 187,946 people, 45.49% of them (85,498 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - White Alone, 37.97% of them (71,362 people) identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, and 5.13% of them (9,649 people) identified their ethnicity as Hispanic - Some Other Race Alone.
