According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Buffalo County, SD voting-age population of 1,196 people, 78.85% of them (943 people) identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, 17.64% of them (211 people) identified their race as White Alone, and 3.51% of them (42 people) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
