According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Charles City, VA voting-age population of 5,779 people, 44.96% of them (2,598 people) identified their race as White Alone, 42.59% of them (2,461 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 6.80% of them (393 people) identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone.
