According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Roanoke city, VA voting-age population of 78,948 people, 61.81% of them (48,797 people) identified their race as White Alone, 25.71% of them (20,296 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 5.69% of them (4,492 people) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
