Alabama Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Alabama voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 981,723 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 25.06% of the total voting-age population of Alabama.

Jefferson County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (213,751), followed by Mobile County (107,190), and Montgomery County (97,867).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Winston County (107), Cleburne County (372), and Blount County (647).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Macon County had the highest percentage, with 79.19% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Greene County (79.18%), and Sumter County (71.13%).
