Arizona Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Arizona voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 247,633 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 4.47% of the total voting-age population of Arizona.

Maricopa County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (188,296), followed by Pima County (29,806), and Pinal County (15,957).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Greenlee County (58), La Paz County (99), and Santa Cruz County (127).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Maricopa County had the highest percentage, with 5.57% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Pinal County (4.90%), and Cochise County (3.82%).
