Florida Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Florida voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 2,419,026 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 13.95% of the total voting-age population of Florida.

Broward County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (396,544), followed by Miami-Dade County (307,086), and Duval County (215,010).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Gilchrist County (641), Lafayette County (955), and Holmes County (1,097).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Gadsden County had the highest percentage, with 51.64% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Madison County (34.03%), and Hamilton County (31.97%).
