Montana Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Montana voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 4,039 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 0.48% of the total voting-age population of Montana.

Cascade County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (933), followed by Yellowstone County (911), and Missoula County (533).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Petroleum County (0), Granite County (0), and Garfield County (0).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Cascade County had the highest percentage, with 1.42% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Powell County (1.10%), and Golden Valley County (0.76%).
