Texas Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Texas voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 2,627,714 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 12.02% of the total voting-age population of Texas.

Harris County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (669,372), followed by Dallas County (431,270), and Tarrant County (262,756).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Throckmorton County (0), Loving County (0), and King County (0).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Jefferson County had the highest percentage, with 32.34% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Waller County (24.36%), and Bowie County (24.05%).
