Vermont Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Vermont voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 6,392 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 1.22% of the total voting-age population of Vermont.

Chittenden County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (3,229), followed by Washington County (512), and Windham County (411).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Essex County (9), Grand Isle County (34), and Orleans County (100).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Chittenden County had the highest percentage, with 2.33% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Windham County (1.09%), and Bennington County (1.05%).
