Washington Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Washington voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 230,367 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 3.82% of the total voting-age population of Washington.

King County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (112,251), followed by Pierce County (50,476), and Snohomish County (21,255).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Garfield County (5), Columbia County (7), and Wahkiakum County (13).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Pierce County had the highest percentage, with 7.12% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by King County (6.19%), and Snohomish County (3.32%).
