According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of deaths for Kentucky was 43,641, and the top three counties that had the highest number of deaths were:
- Jefferson County: 7,326
- Fayette County: 2,200
- Kenton County: 1,435
On the other hand, the top 3 counties that had the lowest number of deaths were:
- Robertson County: 30
- Hickman County: 63
- Elliott County: 66
