Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 114,643 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in Massachusetts and they represented 1.67% of the total population of Massachusetts in 2017. Suffolk County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (34,703), followed by Essex County (28,040), and Hampden County (14,866).
