Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 448,816 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Indiana and they represented 6.76% of the total population of Indiana in 2016.
Marion County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (95,031), followed by Lake County (90,858), and Elkhart County (31,404). On the other hand, Ohio County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (84), followed by Martin County (102), and Union County (131).
When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Lake County had the highest percentage (18.68%), followed by Elkhart County (15.42%), and Clinton County (15.31%).
