Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 136,336 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Rhode Island and they represented 12.94% of the total population of Rhode Island in 2011.

Providence County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (122,507), followed by Kent County (5,732), and Newport County (3,880). On the other hand, Bristol County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (1,026), followed by Washington County (3,191), and Newport County (3,880).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Providence County had the highest percentage (19.46%), followed by Newport County (4.66%), and Kent County (3.47%).
