According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the net migration for Minnesota was 14,123. Hennepin County had the highest net migration (5,161) followed by Sherburne County (1,158), and Ramsey County (1,111). On the other hand, Redwood County had the lowest net migration (-206), followed by St. Louis County (-191), and Renville County (-182).

Net migration for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county. Or to put it simply, the net migration for a given county is the inbound migration minus the outbound migration for that county.
