According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Maine was 13.82. Franklin County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (33.19), followed by Piscataquis County (32.21), and Lincoln County (27.72). On the other hand, Aroostook County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (5.67), followed by Cumberland County (8.71), and Somerset County (9.7).
