Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, among all North Carolina counties, Robeson County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native (39.33%), followed by Swain County (26.73%), and Scotland County (11.38%).
