Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, among all US states and DC, California had the highest number of people who identified their race as Native Hawaiian And Pacific Islander Alone (204.97K), followed by Hawaii (147.75K), and Washington (68.25K).

On the other hand, Vermont had the lowest number of people that identified as Native Hawaiian And Pacific Islander Alone (267), followed by West Virginia (543), and Maine (578).
