According to data from the US Census Bureau, in 2021, there were 17,319,000 Black or African American Alone households in the US. The highest number of Black or African American Alone households were households of Married Couples, with a count of 4,756,000 (i.e. 27.46% of total). The second highest were households of Single Women with a count of 3,477,000 (i.e. 20.08% of total). The third highest were households of Single Mothers with a count of 3,295,000 (i.e. 19.02% of total).
