Colorado Total Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Amounts By Business County (2020)

According to data from the Small Businesss Administration (SBA), the SBA, as part of the paycheck protection program (PPP), has provided a total of 192,260 (192.26K) loans totaling $15,059,713,373 ($15.06B) to small businesses in Colorado. The total number of jobs saved by these loans was 1,643,576 (1.64M).

As at April 2025, 181.45K number of loans has been completely forgiven by SBA (94.38% of the total number of loans), and a total of $14.67B has been forgiven (97.42% of the total loan amount). The PPP program was intended to provide incentives for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll.

Total Loan Amount: In terms of total loan amounts given to businesses per county, Denver received the highest ($3,163,273,670), followed by Arapahoe ($1,976,341,597), and Jefferson ($1,484,444,239).

Number of Loans: For total number of loans given to businesses in each county, Denver received the highest (30,528), followed by Arapahoe (22,712), and Jefferson (18,639).
