According to data from the Small Businesss Administration (SBA), the SBA, as part of the paycheck protection program (PPP), has provided a total of 983,329 (983.33K) loans totaling $50,062,855,841 ($50.06B) to small businesses in Florida. The total number of jobs saved by these loans was 6,065,027 (6.07M).
As at April 2025, 852.24K number of loans has been completely forgiven by SBA (86.67% of the total number of loans), and a total of $46.67B has been forgiven (93.21% of the total loan amount). The PPP program was intended to provide incentives for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll.

Total Loan Amount: In terms of total loan amounts given to businesses per county, Miami Dade received the highest ($9,470,467,694), followed by Broward ($6,252,153,279), and Palm Beach ($4,736,390,297).
Number of Loans: For total number of loans given to businesses in each county, Miami Dade received the highest (222,549), followed by Broward (135,789), and Palm Beach (86,642).
