Kansas Total Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Amounts By Business County (2020)

According to data from the Small Businesss Administration (SBA), the SBA, as part of the paycheck protection program (PPP), has provided a total of 126,401 (126.40K) loans totaling $7,380,654,695 ($7.38B) to small businesses in Kansas. The total number of jobs saved by these loans was 823,757 (823.76K).

As at April 2025, 122.35K number of loans has been completely forgiven by SBA (96.80% of the total number of loans), and a total of $7.31B has been forgiven (99.03% of the total loan amount). The PPP program was intended to provide incentives for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll.

Number of Loans: For total number of loans given to businesses in each county, Johnson received the highest (21,447), followed by Sedgwick (14,784), and Shawnee (4,522).
