According to data from the Small Businesss Administration (SBA), the SBA, as part of the paycheck protection program (PPP), has provided a total of 342,421 (342.42K) loans totaling $30,473,491,615 ($30.47B) to small businesses in Pennsylvania. The total number of jobs saved by these loans was 3,322,543 (3.32M).
As at April 2025, 310.59K number of loans has been completely forgiven by SBA (90.70% of the total number of loans), and a total of $29.74B has been forgiven (97.59% of the total loan amount). The PPP program was intended to provide incentives for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll.

Number of Loans: For total number of loans given to businesses in each county, Philadelphia received the highest (59,667), followed by Allegheny (34,963), and Montgomery (29,421).
