Non-Compliance Description:

On June 9th 2021 at approximately 1:10pm, while performing a Humane Handling Task, IIC observed the following non-compliance, there is an estimated 12" long piece of rebar protruding from the floor of pen #12 at an angle that can injure any animals that may run into it. 9CFR313.1(a) states the livestock pens, driveways and ramps shall be maintained in good repair. They shall be free from sharp or protruding objects which may, in the opinion of the inspector, cause injury or pain to the animal. There were no animals in that pen at the time and a regulatory control tag number #B37048934 was applied to the gate of the pen. IIC notified REDACTED of the non-compliance and regulatory control action.
