Non-Compliance Description:

7/21/21 at approximately 0700 hours, the following non - compliance was noted while performing Ante Mortem Livestock Inspection I observe a metal bar from the cattle gate entrance to the livestock pen was sticking out detached from the fence gate door, control action was taken. Area was tag with U.S reject tag number B37382656, all 12 animals where moved to the front side of the cattle pen at this time Mr. REDACTED was informed that a non-compliance would be issued. Gate door was replaced with a panel metal fence and animals where moved back to the livestock pen after being repair. This represents a non-compliance with 9 CFR 313.1(a) which states that livestock pens, driveways and ramps shall be maintained in good repair.
