On 7/22/2021 at approximately 6:00 am Inspector REDACTED walked through the livestock pens. Thirty-six animals including sheep and goats were found to be left without food and water overnight. Eighteen lambs and goats were left locked in the runway leading to the slaughter floor without food and water. Another Eighteen lambs and goats were found trapped without water in a pen in the back shed that is used for hay storage. The animals that were trapped in the back hay storage area either entered though a one-way gate or through a hole in the wall. The proper maintenance of the facility and holding pens are the responsibility of plant to ensure no animals can be trapped without food or water ovrnight.
