HATS category III: water and feed availability While performing the Livestock Humane Handling Activities Tracking System (HATS) task at Spencer County Butcher Block (M44779) Taylorsville, KY Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer (SVMO) REDACTED, DVM made the following observation at approximately 1200 hrs. EDT: In the holding pen just outside the kill floor door were lambs presented earlier in the day for USDA inspected slaughter too numerous in number to count without access to water; the black bucket in the corner of the pen was found without water. This observation was brought to the attention of kill floor personnel REDACTED and establishment owner Mitchell Warren who was likewise informed of the forthcoming documentation of non-compliance with 9 CFR 313.2(e).
