Non-Compliance Description:

HATS Category III Water and Feed Availability On February 3, 2022, at approximately 8:25 a.m., I the CSI conducted a Livestock Humane Handling Verification Task and observed the following noncompliance. I observed multiple lambs in pen #1 that had no access to water. The pen had a rectangle shape black pan approximately 2 ft x 6 inches deep inside the pen, however it contained an approximant 3inch solid block of ice. I verbally informed the kill floor lead and QA Manager of the noncompliance and that a noncompliance record would be documented. I observed the kill floor lead get a different pan and provide the Lambs water. I verified that the lambs in pen #1, had been dropped off that morning and that the other pens which contained animals had access to water. There are no associated noncompliances with in the last 90 days.
