Non-Compliance Description:

HATS CATEGORY 3 Water and Feed Availability On 9-13-22 at 7:30am while performing a HATS Category 3 (water availability) task I observed the following non-compliance. There was no drinking water or drinking vessel observed for 5 swine in the holding pens during Anti-Mortem inspection. The animals were brought to the Firm around 6am that morning. The owner REDACTED was told of the finding and that an NR would be documented. The corrective action was to slaughter the animals promptly as they were slaughtered shortly after between 8:45 and 9:45am. This is non-compliant with 9 CFR 313.2(e).
