HATS Category III – Water and Feed Availability On May 31, 2022, at approximately 0730, while performing humane handling verification activities at Est. 9457, Food Inspector REDACTED observed the following noncompliance: Pen #3, which contained 9 beef, was lacking water. The bottom of the water tub was entirely dry with no signs of damp spots from previous water. During this humane handling verification, Food Inspector REDACTED was accompanied by Plant Supervisor Mr. REDACTED. Mr. REDACTED was notified verbally and given a copy of the noncompliance for the establishment’s failure to adhere to the regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 313.2. The water tub was filled by the Plant Supervisor (Mr. REDACTED) at approximately 0735. There has been no Humane Handling noncompliance’s in the past 90 days.
